Dr. Derek Einhorn

Derek Einhorn, MD

Internal Medicine/Pediatrics

Derek Einhorn, MD completed his undergraduate education at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and earned his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. He completed his four-year residency training at William Beaumont Hospital. Dr. Einhorn is board certified in both internal medicine and pediatrics. He founded Novi Internal Medicine and Pediatrics with Dr. Rosenberg in 2004.

Dr. Einhorn is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and American College of Physicians. He is an active member of the Michigan and Oakland County Medical Societies. Dr. Einhorn spent time volunteering and teaching at a hospital in Cambodia. He enjoys working with patients and families on preventive health, as well as keeping an active and healthy lifestyle.

Dr. James Golden

James A. Golden, MD, JD

Internal Medicine

James A. Golden, MD, JD is board certified in internal medicine. He grew up in Oak Park and graduated from Wayne State University with a bachelor of science in biology. Dr. Golden went on to graduate from the University of Michigan Law School before attending the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor.

Dr. Golden completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Henry Ford Hospital. He is a member of the American College of Physicians and the Michigan State Medical Society.

Following completion of his residency, Dr. Golden moved with his wife to Long Island, New York where he practiced first in a multispecialty group practice and then opened a private internal medicine practice with partners. He returned home to Michigan with his wife and two daughters in 1999, joining a practice in West Bloomfield before joining Novi Internal Medicine and Pediatrics in 2007.

Dr. Golden brings to his practice his experience and strong interest in helping people adopt healthier lifestyles. He emphasizes preventive medicine such as vaccinations and proven screenings such as colonoscopies and mammograms, as well as treatment of high blood pressure and high cholesterol before they cause problems.

Dr. Carrie Leff


Internal Medicine/Pediatrics

Carrie Leff, DO, FAAP, FACP is proud to be part of the team at Novi Internal Medicine & Pediatrics. She joined the practice in January 2010. Dr. Leff completed her undergraduate education at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and earned her medical degree from Midwestern University, Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Leff completed a four-year residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at William Beaumont Hospital. She is board certified in both internal medicine and pediatrics.

Dr. Leff is a fellow of both the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Physicians. Dr. Leff enjoys seeing patients of all ages and finds building and sustaining meaningful relationships with her patients rewarding.

“Being able to see a patient from childhood through adolescence and into adulthood is a wonderful privilege. My job allows me to have a window into people’s lives, and hopefully have a positive effect on them.”

Dr. Leff also has a special interest in all aspects of women's health care, from adolescence through menopause, and she provides routine in-office gynecological care.

“I look forward to partnering with patients to find healthy solutions that are tailored to your lifestyle. I think the best medical outcomes are achieved when you, the patient, can be honest with your physician and provide feedback for what will work for you.”

Dr. Leff is in the office regularly on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (as well as the occasional Saturday). Outside of the office, she is a wife and mother of three daughters. She is passionate about family and work and about finding a balance between the two.

Turning Teen

Dr. Leff is also the co-founder of a program called Turning Teen, which provides educational workshops about puberty for mothers and daughters to help girls ages 8-14 understand and respect their changing bodies. To learn more about the program and its mission, visit our website.

Dr. Daniel Rosenberg

Daniel Rosenberg, MD

Internal Medicine/Pediatrics

Daniel Rosenberg, MD has been practicing internal medicine and pediatrics  since 2000. He founded Novi Internal Medicine and Pediatrics with Dr. Einhorn in 2004.

A lifelong Michigander, Dr. Rosenberg graduated from the University of Michigan with honors in 1992 and attended Wayne State University School of Medicine, graduating in 1996. He completed his residency in internal medicine/pediatrics in 2000 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. He has maintained board certification in both internal medicine and pediatrics since 2000. Dr. Rosenberg maintains membership in the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Medical Association.

Dr. Rosenberg has an interest in preventive medicine and focuses on treating the entire family. His father was a family physician, and there are several area families that are proud to have had five generations call Dr. Rosenberg and his father their only doctors.

Outside the office, Dr. Rosenberg enjoys spending time with wife Angela and their three children. He also enjoys playing golf, competing in triathlons and road races, and attending local sporting events.

Kaitlin Henkel, Physician Assistant (PA)

Kaitlin Henkel is a Physician Assistant who has been working with our practice since 2017.

Kaitlin strives to work with each patient – as a team – to achieve their optimal health by focusing on disease prevention and a healthy lifestyle. She’s dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare for individuals and their family, while developing a long-term relationship of trust and compassion. Kaitlin maintains a high level of open communication with each patient and respects each concern a patient brings to her attention. She counts it a privilege and unique opportunity to make a difference in someone’s mental or physical health.

Kaitlin was born in Ontario, Canada, and spent most of her childhood there. When she was 9, her family moved to the downriver area of Michigan, where she has lived since. Kaitlin and her husband currently live with their two cats in the Garden City area. She enjoys being involved in her church, specifically with ESL (English as a Second Language) work and children’s outreach. Additionally, she loves spending time with her family, whether it’s traveling or staying home and playing board games.
