In the event of a life-threatening medical emergency, call emergency medical services at 911 immediately. DO NOT WAIT! Go to the emergency center at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak or Providence Park in Novi. Inform the emergency room staff that you are a patient of Novi Internal Medicine & Pediatrics, and they will contact us.
If you have an urgent medical need after our regular hours, please call our office at (248) 374-0502. A doctor is on call 24 hours a day. You can reach the on-call physician through the answering service. He or she will be paged and return your call promptly.
If you have a problem that needs to be addressed right away but our office is closed, we recommend Lakes Urgent Care located at 2300 Haggerty Road, West Bloomfield, Michigan, 48323.
At Novi Internal Medicine & Pediatrics, we accept Medicare and most major insurance plans, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, BCN, HAP, and Priority Health. Contact your insurance company or you may call our office at (248) 374-0502 to find out if we accept your insurance plan. Please bring your insurance card and picture ID with you to your appointment, and notify us if your insurance coverage changes.
If your insurance plan requires you to pay a co-payment, co-insurance, and/or a deductible, you will need to pay at the time of your visit. For your convenience we accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
If you have a question related to your bill or insurance, contact the billing specialists at Novi Internal Medicine & Pediatrics at (888) 701-8826. If an unusually large medical bill presents a financial difficulty, you may speak with our billing specialists about developing a payment plan.
If one of our doctors suggests a specialist evaluation or diagnostic testing that requires a referral, we will make every effort to provide this for you as soon as possible. Some referrals require insurance preauthorization and cannot be processed immediately. Insurance guidelines prohibit us from backdating referrals. We require three business days for the processing of routine referrals.
You can request a prescription refill in one of three ways:
1. You may call your pharmacy directly and request a prescription electronically through your doctor.
2. You may request a refill through the patient portal.
3. You can call our office and leave a message. Refill requests phoned in to our office typically require 48 business hours to process.
You may be required to come in for an office visit to obtain a prescription refill. Routine medications will not be refilled over the phone after hours. It is helpful to anticipate your refill needs to avoid an interruption in your medication therapy.
